Hello all....

I would say that it was a typical night, but I was off of work that night, relaxing at home.Mom noticed out the front door brilliant flashes in the sky to the south. She called me to the front door to look. At first glimpse, I reasoned it was probably just heat lightening. Although this was much brighter (strobelight like) flashes. It was also more consistent than sporadic flashes of heat lightening. For some reason I can't seem to get the whole thing out of my mind, it was like a week ago. It reminds me a lot of our faith or I'm ashamed to say, maybe lack of at times. Throughout life we will have many peaks and valleys. At times God's presence in our life will be very apparent , as the strobelike flashes on the night I recall. Though undeserved,through his mercy he allows unforgettable peaks. Yet at other times, the flashes are much further apart,less illuminent, less noticable. Still.... the flashes remain. If God seems distant to you, stop to think about who has taken the backward steps. He didn't promise smooth sailing, He just promised to guide the boat if we allowed Him to.
Okay, that said, the Sub. Baptist concert is coming up. I'm really looking forward to it. Planning is still ongoing for the Good Samritan benefit show. Also some tentative bookings for Eckert's in Belleville. I hope all is well with you, thanks for stopping in . God Bless Chris
