Oops, it's been a while....
I cannot believe it. I slept until 11:30 this morning. I usually get up before 5 on work days . Half of my off days gone : ( . Anyway, if you've been keeping up , you know it's been really busy . That's how we like it. It's exausting at times, but you guys make it well worth it.
So a little recap on what's been up...
Nashville trip.... Tammy and I headed down a few weeks back to cut the demo for "His Hands". If you like the gospel stuff I do , I'm thinkin you'll like this. The few times I've done it live , the response was so cool. It's different than anything on Pain. I wanted it to have a Nickel Creek feel to it , and that's what we came back with. Anxious to hear it ?? It will not be available to buy or hear online for some time. I will be doing it live at some select shows though. If Lord willing there is a next CD project , I'm sure this would be included.
Kentucky Opry... Thanks to God's grace and a warm audience response, I won my week in competition. I loved the venue, reminds me of Nashville North, and the people were so nice. I did a guest appearnce out there last week, again it went very well.
Congrats to all who auditioned and were accepted to Branson Spotlight. If you weren't part of the audience that day at Bement , you missed some good stuff. I made a surprise appearance there. It was nice seeing everyone and getting to talk with ya.
The Ty Herndon Show...... He puts on a heck of a concert. Tammy and I saw him in Quincy recently. Phenomenal vocals and you could tell he had a good time as well. We got to meet him after the concert (God's grace) . I got to pitch a couple of songs to him . Please pray that he gets the songs ... just pray for God's will for that if you would.
And finally Bement show last week ... honestly rehearsal was rough, and I was a nervous wreck going into it . However after PRAYER, and the great talent of the band , the show went great. I love working Bement, thanks Sondra . If you missed the show, sorry you missed some rare duets I did with Erica Neal. Doing harmonies is a blast, especially with her vocals. I apologize to any one who waited at the merchandise table at intermission to talk to me. I love getting to meet and catch up with everyone , but I was backstage rehearsing one of the aforementioned duets and ran out of time to get out there.
As if God didn't bless my weekend enough, after traveling over 700 miles in two days to perform ... work was going to force me to work on Easter. I got a phone call on my way out the door to church , letting me know not to come in . I got to spend Easter with my family. God is so good. I hope your Easter went well also. God Bless Chris
