Entertainer of the Year ?....

Yes all , I was in utter disbelief when my name was called Sunday. I am so grateful. Tammy had suggested to me a number of times the past week, to make out an outline of what I'd say , just in case I won something. She takes good care of me. I am a procrastinater though. I heard , but it didn't really register. I had an idea in my mind , but never wrote anything down. Anyway, on the way to the Stanford, she asked if I had an idea what I'd say if I won. My response... "Am I on Candid Camera ?" So she laughs, as she does when I'm trying to be funny. She says I'd never have a shot at the comedian award. Now I think I'm pretty funny. She then asked the same question . I gave her the same response.
If you thought that was funny e-mail Tammy and let her know. I meant everything I said upon receiving the award , however this is kind of what I'd said if I wasn't so caught off guard.... First, I'd like to thank God for giving me every inkling of talent that I have, and answering prayer after prayer for peace on stage and the ability to really connect with you guys during the show. To Tammy for believing in that talent and nurturing it. She said , it'd be a waste to keep it from kind people , like you. And for loving me when I'm not so loving. To Ashlee Jay for making my websites cool and helping me keep in touch with you. To the ICMA , about 4 years back you all welcomed me with open arms, and it's been a fun ride. There are so many great acts out there, I've had the pleasure of working with. To my family for all the support over the years. For all the hard work , the bands do , rehearsing to make us sound good. And last , but certainly not least... to all of you who fill the seats each night I perform . Your warmth and encouragement will never be forgotten . God Bless Okay , so that's what I would have said. God Bless Chris p.s.
